Hi, everybody, and welcome back. Okay, so you know already that I’m a sucker for cakes of just about any description. This is an Esterhazy torte, a multi-layer cake made with ground-up nuts instead of flour. In the photo, the one on the left is made with walnuts, and the darker one on the right is made with poppy seeds. Question: does that make this a gluten-free recipe? Embarrassed to admit it, but I have no idea what contains gluten. Thanks to Wikimedia Commons user Magellan for the photo, and thanks to East of Paris for a recipe that makes this sound simple.
